Outer Critics Circle Award nominee, Jenn Colella is a woman with many talents.

Thus far, I have been fortunate to see Jenn light up the stage in such Broadway and Off-Broadway shows as Urban Cowboy, High Fidelity, and The Beebo Brinker Chronicles.

In addition to Jenn's talent, one of the things I admire most about Jenn is her kindness and genuine interest in her fans.

Currently Jenn can be seen at Paper Mill Playhouse's production of The Fully Monty through July 12, 2009.

In this interview, Jenn answered my call to reveal:
  • What career she would choose if it weren't acting
  • Her unusual talents
  • Who she would still like to work with
  • Favorite kind of sundae
  • So much more

1. Who inspired you to become a performer? The women whom I felt most inspired by as a kid include Lily Tomlin, Lucille Ball, Goldie Hawn, and Carol Burnett, and Barbra Streisand.

2. Who is the one person you haven't worked with that you would like to? The one?? There are so many! Jeanine Tesori is such an amazing bad ass. She's on the list, for sure.

3. Do you have any strange or unusual talent that no one knows about? Heh. I can make this crazy bike horn sound. Oh, and I spin poi. And I can dance with a huge hula hoop.

4. If you couldn't be doing what you are doing now, what career would you choose? Teaching. I think it's one of the noblest professions in the world. I have such respect for those who teach.

5. If you could dream about anyone while you sleep, who would it be? My wife, Jenifer Foote.

6. Favorite kind of sundae (ice cream flavor & toppings)? Chocolate with a chocolate brownie, drenched with magic shell and whipped cream. Yum.

7. Peanut Butter: Crunchy or Smooth? Smoooove.

8. Favorite kind of shoes? Cowboy boots.

9. Favorite website? gograditude.org

10. Superman or Wonder Woman? Oh, shit. I don't know why this one's so tough. I reckon I'm gonna have to go with the feminist icon, that lovable Amazon Wonder Woman.
