Gimme Gimme More! Gimme Gimme More! That is how I felt about seeing the new Broadway musical Once Upon A One More Time.

 

Using the songs of Britney Spears, this show tells an empowering new story about the princesses of Grimm's Fairy Tales, taking Girl Power to new heights.

 

My favorite numbers included "...Baby One More Time," "Work Bitch," "Circus," "Sometimes," "Oops!...I Did It Again," "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart," "Womanizer," "Scream & Shout/I Wanna Go," "Gimme More," "Toxic," "Everytime," "Stronger" & the finale.

 

Briga Heelan (Cinderella), Aisha Jackson (Snow White), Jennifer Simard (Stepmother), Justin Guarini (Prince Charming) & Brooke Dillman (O.F.G.) triumph in this show.

Briga & Aisha's vocals are so powerful, I couldn't wait until they came on stage to sing.

 

Aisha gave a whole new meaning to "From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart." She ripped the roof off the Marquis Theatre with her singing.

 

Briga's voice is gorgeous. She truly made "Sometimes" & "Everytime" angelic.

 

Jennifer Simard is the Queen of Comedy! Whether it's with a subtle look (like Bea Arthur would give on The Golden Girls) or the way in which she delivers her lines, Jennifer knows how to get the laugh each & every time! Her delivery of "Work Bitch" & "Toxic" deserved the standing ovations & cheers everyone gave her.

 

Prince Charming is played by American Idol runner up Justin Guarini, who definitely delighted the audience, especially during such high energy numbers as "Circus" & "Oops!...I Did It Again."

Then there is Brooke Dillman who is making her Broadway debut in Once Upon A One More Time. It was great to see her shine throughout the show. From her singing to her acting, Brooke made me want to "Scream & Shout" whenever she was on stage.

 

These were some of the individual performers who stood out to me, but the entire cast is truly talented & know how to make these hit songs their own.
