My Debut book, Behind The Curtain:
The Mistakes, Lessons Learned & Triumphs of Interviewing Celebrities

Happy National Author's Day 📘

Today, November 1, is a day I never imagined I'd be celebrating as an actual published author.

It was always just a dream I had.

But now, I can count myself amongst some of my favorite celebrity & fiction authors including Dolly Parton, Joan Rivers, Olivia Newton-John, Debbie Gibson, Cady McClain, Lois Duncan, Marie Cauley & many more!

After 2 years of writing & editing, in 2025, my dream of publishing a book came true, when I published my debut book, Behind The Curtain: The Mistakes, Lessons Learned & Triumphs of Interviewing Celebrities!

I hope this book shows YOU that it's never too late to turn YOUR dreams into reality!

As someone who grew up with a learning disability, I certainly had my fair share of challenges.

After discovering Curry College's PAL Program, I learned ways to compensate for & conquer my learning disability.

With all I learned in Curry's program for students with learning disabilities, would you believe my learning disability became one of my biggest lessons in my interviewing journey?

You can find out more by picking up a copy of my debut book, Behind The Curtain on Amazon, or you can get your very own autographed copy here!

Speaking of my favorite authors, these pictures were supposed to be in my original social media post, but didn't make it in, so here they are along with a description of why I love them so much.

Debbie Gibson - Eternally Electric: The Message In My Music

Debbie's book was so fun to read! It allowed me to relive all the great moments of her career I was there for & introduced me to the ones I didn't know happened.

If you are looking for a real behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to work in the world of music, Debbie's book takes you on that tour!

From the highs to the lows to everything in between!

Dolly Parton - My Life & Other Unfinished Business

Released in 1994, this long out-of-print book is one of my favorite autobiographies.

Dolly really opened up about her life & career, making me even a bigger fan than I was before!

Dolly Parton - Dolly: My Life & Other Unfinished Business
Joan Rivers - Bouncing Back: I've Survived Everything...and I Mean Everything...and You Can Too!

Joan Rivers - Bouncing Back: I've Survived Everything...and I Mean Everything...and You Can Too!

I have always adored Joan Rivers as a comedian & actress, so when I learned more about her life story, I knew I had to buy this book.

Originally released in 1997, this long out-of-print book really helped get through some difficult times in my life!

I am so grateful Joan took her experience & let her fans gain some of her wisdom.

Olivia Newton-John - Don't Stop Believin'

Released in 2019, this book means a lot to me because it was the 3rd & final time I got to interview Olivia before she passed away.

I loved Olivia's backstage stories & for as much as I loved reading this book, the audio version made me feel as though I was sitting in Olivia's living room as she was telling me her life story.

Cady McClain: Murdering My Youth: A Memoir

Cady McClain made Emmy Award History for being the first woman to win the coveted awards for playing 3 different roles, on 3 different shows, on 3 different networks.

Before making television history, Cady wrote this powerful book about the horrors of her upbringing.

Every page unfolds just like the Soap Operas Cady has starred in!

Marie Cauley - Never Forgotten You

I genuinely loved Never Forgotten You.

Marie Cauley pulls you into a suspenseful, page-turning story full of unexpected twists, vivid characters, and the kind of momentum that keeps you telling yourself “just one more chapter” long after bedtime.

It’s an unforgettable adventure woven with love, loss, beach walks, fandom, stardom, and so much more—and by the final page, it truly stayed with me.

Lois Duncan - Killing Mr. Griffin

One of my favorite authors growing up was Lois Duncan!

I came across her books in middle school or high school. I remember her books were hard to put down, so I read through them very quickly.

I think I read almost all her books. The ones I remember most are Killing Mr. Griffin, Down A Dark Hall, Ransom & Five Were Missing.

Each book was a suspenseful thriller, keeping me on the edge of my seat.
