Adam's Call: Liz Callaway: The Beat Goes On at Feinstein's/54 Below: Hits a Home Run with Every Song

Adam's Call: This past July I attended Liz Callaway's concert, "The Beat Goes On" at Feinstein's/54 Below. Over a month later, I'm still thinking about this magical evening! Liz's show was a master class in music, singing, & cabaret! Liz took us on a musical journey of the 1960s & I was mesmerized from start to finish! If Liz were a baseball player, she hit a home run with every song! Liz will be returning to Feinstein's/54 Below with "The Beat Goes On" Sun, 9/10 7pm!

Adam's Call: Michael Feinstein's "Showstoppers" at Feinstein's/54 Below: Hits all the right notes and then some

Adam's Call: Two weeks ago I got to attend Michael Feinstein's "Showstoppers" at Feinstein's/54 Below. Michael hit all the right notes & then some! From the minute the orchestra started, I knew I was in for a special night. From his vocal quality to the way he connects to the audience, Michael defines showman. Whether it's a big band number or a gentler, quieter piano only song, Michael reels you in making you want more. Michael Feinstein's "Showstoppers" plays Feinstein's/54 Below through 9/3!
Adam's Call: Marta Sanders' "Follow Me" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre is the epitome of cabaret! The evening flew by just like a plane taking off for it's next destination. With just 3 shows left, February 11, 16, & 25 at 7pm, I highly encourage you to get tickets for Marta Sanders' "Follow Me" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre because Marta is one performer you'll want to follow for years to come!
Adam's Call: For British satirist Melinda Hughes, the trip over to NYC from England was well worth it because her new cabaret show "Cheers Darling" is fantastic! What more can I say about Melinda's show? Just go see it, she's on the "right track baby!" Melinda has one more performance, tomorrow, Friday, 1/20 at 9:30pm at The Metropolitan Room in NYC!
Adam's Call: What an incredible night seeing Tracie Thoms make her Feinstein's/54 Below debut! She was on fire! From her opening number to her numerous standing ovations & super special surprise guest, the evening was everything I wanted & more! There's one more chance to catch Tracie's show, this Saturday, January 14 at 7pm at Feinstein's/54 Below!
Adam's Call: Michael Longoria knocked me out unconscious at Joe's Pub a few weeks ago while celebrating the release of his CD "Broadway Brick by Brick." Michel literally has a vocal range like no other! There was not a moment in the show where the word "Wow" did not come out of my mouth. "Broadway Brick by Brick" showcases Michael's talents perfectly! It capitalizes his strong vocal range, highlights his soulful voice, and captures his love for Broadway!
Adam's Call: Alexa Green "So Good" is SO GREAT! As I started listening to Alexa Green's debut solo recording "So Good," the first thing I thought was WOW. I also thought, could Alexa Green be anymore talented? Could she top what she's done in the first few songs I've heard? As the album kept going, I discovered, that, yes indeed, Alexa could be more talented! Alexa has an unbelievable vocal quality, and a range like no other. She hits all the right notes and then some!
Adam's Call: "Grin and Barrett" is Unforgettable! Barrett's show was the perfect blend of music and behind-the-scene stories from his theatrical endeavors and time so far on "NCIS: Los Angeles." From musical theatre numbers to standards, pop, and rock covers, Barrett wowed the crowd throughout the evening! It was GREAT to see Barrett back on stage, singing his heart out, and enjoying the live audience he loves performing for!

Adam's Call: Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli at Feinstein's/54 Below: Sing Happy

Adam's Call: "Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli": There are many performers out there who attempt to sing the songs of Liza Minnelli. Seth Sikes is one of the few singers who CAN sing the songs of Liza Minnelli. In fact, he does such a wonderful job, that I'm sure Liza herself would endorse him, if he decided to record an album of her music. "Seth Sings Liza Minnelli" will be returning to Feinstein's/54 Below on Wednesday, June 8 at 7pm!
Adam's Call: Latrice Royale: "Here's To Life": Celebration of Love, Life, and Second Chances: Latrice Royale's one woman show "Here's To Life," which is currently enjoying a return engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC is definitely one of the best "one person" shows I have ever seen! I hope everyone reading this piece will rewrite their destiny and go see Latrice Royale's "Here's To Life" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC!
Adam's Call: Last month I had the pleasure of going to see Melissa Errico's concert "Sing The Silence" at Joe's Pub which focused Melissa's journey of getting to sing again after she suddenly lost her voice during the run of Classic Stage Company's production of "Passion." Melissa had to withdraw from that production and be on complete vocal rest for 100 days, meaning no singing and no talking whatsoever! Well, the days of Melissa Errico being silent are very over! She is back and better than ever!
Adam's Call: Mathieu Blue "Falling Into Blue at The Metropolitan Room": 2 Thumbs Up: I was completely blown away by Mathieu Blue tonight at his Metropolitan Room show "Falling Into Blue." Let me just say, I fell, deep and hard for Mathieu's talent and vocals! This guy is the real deal! The hour plus show went by in the blink of an eye, Mathieu sure left me wanting more!
Adam's Call: Olivia Newton-John: Summer Nights at The Flamingo Las Vegas: Magic! Olivia is in tip-top shape performing her catalog of music from mega hit songs, to her country roots, to a special "Xanadu" and "Grease" suite, as well as some of my favorite Olivia songs that were not big hits. From "Physical" to "Xanadu" to "I Honestly Love You," this was one rockin' concert!
Adam's Call: Natalie Douglas' "Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton" at Birdland: Stairway to Heaven! If you haven't purchased tickets yet for Natalie Douglas' show "Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton" which is returning to Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, April 20, May 18, July 6, and August 10 at 7pm, then I'm not sure what you are waiting for!
Adam's Call: "Journey of a Bombshell: The Ina Ray Hutton Story": Interesting story. Very well acted. Excellently sung. The thing I liked most about Journey of a Bombshell was learning about Ina's career and the portrayal of her drive, determination, and strength of working her way up in a man's world.
