Adam's Call: The Government Inspector: Funniest Show Off-Broadway

Adam's Call: There are just four chances left to see, Red Bull Theater's "The Government Inspector," the funniest show Off-Broadway! I have seen this show twice and was doubled over in laughter both times. This show is truly an ensemble production! Everyone is given their moment to take the lead, but it's their combined talents that really make the laughter ensue! "The Government Inspector" plays at New World Stages NYC through 8/20 only!
Adam's Call: I recently took in the world premiere of "Yours Unfaithfully" starring Tony nominee Max von Essen. "Yours Unfaithfully" takes a look at the life of a couple in an open marriage and the after effects of this decision. It may have been written in 1933, but it stands the test of time, still holding court in today's world. "Yours Unfaithfully" raises many questions about love, monogamy, and relationships. "Yours Unfaithfully" plays at The Beckett Theatre thru 2/18 only!
Adam's Call: Charles Busch's "The Divine Sister" at Bucks County Playhouse is still heaven sent! This past weekend I had the privilege of heading to Bucks County Playhouse to see their production of "The Divine Sister," featuring most of the original New York cast. "The Divine Sister" once again brought me to a place where laughter ensued for two full hours! "The Divine Sister" runs through August 13!
Adam's Call: Natalie Douglas' "Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton" at Birdland: Stairway to Heaven! If you haven't purchased tickets yet for Natalie Douglas' show "Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton" which is returning to Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, April 20, May 18, July 6, and August 10 at 7pm, then I'm not sure what you are waiting for!
Adam's Call: JANKA: A-20398: I Say See It! There is a powerful new Off-Broadway show happening in NYC entitled JANKA: A-20398 written by playwright Oscar Speace and starring Janice Noga. This show recounts Oscar's mom's liberation and time spent in the Nazi concentration camps. While most people will say I don't want to see a show like this, I say, see it!
Adam's Call: "Journey of a Bombshell: The Ina Ray Hutton Story": Interesting story. Very well acted. Excellently sung. The thing I liked most about Journey of a Bombshell was learning about Ina's career and the portrayal of her drive, determination, and strength of working her way up in a man's world.
Adam's Call: Catherine LeFrere: "Confessions of a Young Character Actress": A Legend In The Making. From the moment the show started, Catherine engulfed the audience because she made us feel at ease with her talented voice and and self depreciating humor. She made us laugh right from the get go and that alone lets enables the audience to sit back and relax.
Adam's Call: Here She Comes Again: 54 Does Dolly Parton: Paradise Road: Scott Coulter put together a terrific, terrific evening of Dolly's music with a dynamite cast of singers who seamlessly made each song they sang their own.
Adam's Call: Twenty years ago, David Drake won an OBIE Award for his one-man show The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, and twenty years later his show still holds the test of time.
