Adam's Call: "5 Guys Chillin'" by Peter Darney is an original, refreshing play that is a conversation starter. A terrific, eye-opening play that is not easy to watch, but really should be seen. "5 Guys Chillin'" runs through October 9 only at The SoHo Playhouse in NYC!
Adam's Call: Charles Busch's "The Divine Sister" at Bucks County Playhouse is still heaven sent! This past weekend I had the privilege of heading to Bucks County Playhouse to see their production of "The Divine Sister," featuring most of the original New York cast. "The Divine Sister" once again brought me to a place where laughter ensued for two full hours! "The Divine Sister" runs through August 13!
Adam's Call: Joel Creasey: A comedy legend in the making! Last November I saw a comedian whose name will be, if not already, on everybody's lips. That comedian was Joel Creasey! While many comedians tell life stories, Joel had an ease to his style and delivery, not often seen with other comedians. It was great to see a comedian breathe new life into a performance genre that can sometimes blend together between comics. Joel returns to The Laurie Beechman Theatre with a new show playing August 4, 5, and 6th at 7pm!
Adam's Call: Michael Raver's "Fire on Babylon": The Heat is On: Michael Raver is a rising playwright everyone should have their eye on! His new play, "Fire on Babylon," which is in the Fresh Fruit Festival, is HOT! In fact, it's scalding with twists & turns that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole play. With only two performances left (July 15th & 17th), I suggest you get there before the lights go out forever on this run! "Fire on Babylon" plays at The Wild Project in NYC's East Village!
Adam's Call: Charles Busch: "The Ultimate Playlist" at Feinstein's/54 Below: An Evening Filled with Laughter, Smiles, and a Walk Down Memory Lane. Charles has a way of captivating the audience with his stories. Whenever he tells a story, it feels as though we are seated in his living room around his fire place. I also enjoyed Charles' varied set list. This show made me so happy and I can't wait for Charles' next engagement at Feinstein's/54 Below!
Adam's Call: Alexa Green "So Good" is SO GREAT! As I started listening to Alexa Green's debut solo recording "So Good," the first thing I thought was WOW. I also thought, could Alexa Green be anymore talented? Could she top what she's done in the first few songs I've heard? As the album kept going, I discovered, that, yes indeed, Alexa could be more talented! Alexa has an unbelievable vocal quality, and a range like no other. She hits all the right notes and then some!
Adam's Call: "Grin and Barrett" is Unforgettable! Barrett's show was the perfect blend of music and behind-the-scene stories from his theatrical endeavors and time so far on "NCIS: Los Angeles." From musical theatre numbers to standards, pop, and rock covers, Barrett wowed the crowd throughout the evening! It was GREAT to see Barrett back on stage, singing his heart out, and enjoying the live audience he loves performing for!

Adam's Call: Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli at Feinstein's/54 Below: Sing Happy

Adam's Call: "Seth Sikes Sings Liza Minnelli": There are many performers out there who attempt to sing the songs of Liza Minnelli. Seth Sikes is one of the few singers who CAN sing the songs of Liza Minnelli. In fact, he does such a wonderful job, that I'm sure Liza herself would endorse him, if he decided to record an album of her music. "Seth Sings Liza Minnelli" will be returning to Feinstein's/54 Below on Wednesday, June 8 at 7pm!
Adam's Call: Latrice Royale: "Here's To Life": Celebration of Love, Life, and Second Chances: Latrice Royale's one woman show "Here's To Life," which is currently enjoying a return engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC is definitely one of the best "one person" shows I have ever seen! I hope everyone reading this piece will rewrite their destiny and go see Latrice Royale's "Here's To Life" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC!
Adam's Call: Lorna Luft "Triumph" at Feinstein's/54 Below: Celebration of Life: Just 18 weeks ago, Lorna was in an operating room fighting for her life while she had a taxing 7-hour surgery for breast cancer. Now Lorna is up on stage singing her heart and soul out! With just 2 concerts left, this Friday, January 8 at 7pm and 9:30pm "Triumph" at Feinstein's/54 Below is a show you don't want to miss!
Adam's Call: Mathieu Blue's "Merry Christmas To You" at The Metropolitan Room was merry and bright! The holiday season should be all about smiles, laughter, and fun. That is exactly what you get when you attend a Mathieu Blue holiday show! His soothing voice, heartfelt and fun songs, really put me in the mood for the holidays! Here's to making memories and music!
Adam's Call: Last month I had the pleasure of going to see Melissa Errico's concert "Sing The Silence" at Joe's Pub which focused Melissa's journey of getting to sing again after she suddenly lost her voice during the run of Classic Stage Company's production of "Passion." Melissa had to withdraw from that production and be on complete vocal rest for 100 days, meaning no singing and no talking whatsoever! Well, the days of Melissa Errico being silent are very over! She is back and better than ever!
Adam's Call: Dolly Parton's "Coat of Many Colors" was truly a remarkable TV movie! I learned so much about Dolly's upbringing that I didn't know. It was great to see her as a little rascal, but also how she got her down home roots and inspirational sayings. "Coat of Many Colors" really showed why Dolly is the way she is today!
Adam's Call: It's been a little over a month since I've been so moved or inspired by a piece of theatre. "The Color Purple" on Broadway shook me to my core! It was only intermission and I had already wanted to make plans to see this show again!
Adam's Call: Mathieu Blue "Falling Into Blue at The Metropolitan Room": 2 Thumbs Up: I was completely blown away by Mathieu Blue tonight at his Metropolitan Room show "Falling Into Blue." Let me just say, I fell, deep and hard for Mathieu's talent and vocals! This guy is the real deal! The hour plus show went by in the blink of an eye, Mathieu sure left me wanting more!
Adam's Call: "Empanada Loca" A recipe for success: Aaron Mark's "Empanada Loca," written for and starring two-time Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega, is another must see show! From the moment the lights went out & the rumbles of the subway train were heard, I was taken into "Dolores'" world & was kept there the whole time which is a testament to the powerful performance Daphne is giving in this show as well as to Aaron's writing! "Empanada Loca," presented by Labyrinth Theater Company, runs thru Nov. 8 at The Bank Street Theater in NYC!
