Jackie Beat has the power to make people laugh! During the difficult times that we live in, it was wonderful to be entertained so much while attending "Jackie Beat: Me So Thorny" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC. With her politically incorrect humor and song parodies, Jackie Beat connects with her audience on many levels, making fun of everyone, including herself, with honesty and love.

One of my favorite comedy bits was when Jackie poked fun at her own look. Jackie's show is such a success because she is able to bring herself into her routine. Underneath all that glam, is a brilliant comedian who has a powerful set of pipes to belt out the numerous songs throughout her show. The best part about Jackie's singing is that it's LIVE!

It's Jackie's song parodies that add to the fun of the show. She picks songs that everyone knows and writes her own lyrics, which everyone can relate too. Some of the artists she parodies are Madonna, J.J. Fad, Bette Midler, ABBA, and the one unmentionable artist that only those in attendance will know.

Tonight (Sunday, May 27) at 7:30pm is the final show of "Jackie Beat: Me So Thorny" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC (407 West 42nd Street, between 9th & 10th Avenue). If you are looking for a fun way to spend your Memorial Day weekend, I would definitely check this show out! Click here for tickets!
