Based upon his cabaret show "This Love I Know," T. Oliver Reid, just released his debut album "Do I Love You." With slightly different arrangements, T. Oliver Reid still hits all the right notes! He takes the listener on a journy of love, from dreaming of love to finding love to losing love to finding love again. T. Oliver's voice is strong throughout the album, keeping me interested and wanting more!
Some of my favorite tracks on the album are "Let's Fall In Love," "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," "This Can't Be Love/How Do You Keep The Music Playing," "I Can't Make You Love Me," "I Wish I Were In Love Again," and "I Got Love." These songs stand out to me for a few reasons. One is because I feel T. Oliver's vocals are particularly strong on these tracks. I love the variety of vocal range these songs exuberate, from soft and slow, to belting and powerful, T. Oliver knows the meaning of control. The other reason I love these specific tracks is because while they represent different stages of love, they all contain one underlying theme, hope. These songs all communicate the hope I feel either at the beginning stages of meeting someone new or towards the end of a relationship. They all share that bit of "maybe this time, I'll win."
To me, making an album with this message of hope, no matter what stage of love I might be in, is a great one to have in my collection because there will always be a song for me to relate to. Whether I'm meeting someone knew or losing the love I had, T. Oliver Reid, will be there to help me through, always reminding me that no matter what, don't give up hope! For hope, is one feeling, I feel we all need to get through this life.
If you are looking for an album, by a wonderfully talented singer, then "Do I Love You" is one for your collection as well! T. Oliver Reid's vocals are controlled, powerful, and most of all, easy on the ears! He is an artist whose message is subtly spread throughout the entire album and it's only after listening to the whole album, one might realize they have been educated just that much more. "It's Easy To Remember" that "Do I Love You" is an album to really fall in "Love!" with!!
