There is only one way to describe a Dina Martina Show and that is to say it was "Off The Charts!" On Friday, September 9, 2011, I attended Dina Martina's show at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA. This was my first Dina Martina show in 4 years and Dina continues to have what it takes to make audiences laugh with her brilliant humor, parodied songs, and strong stage presence! One of the things that makes Dina so engaging, in addition to her talent, is her audience interaction. Whenever Dina sings, she comes off stage, into the audience, and gives them a moment they won't forget!

Dina's humor is brilliant because it's sometimes dark, sometimes out there, but always funny, especially when she talks about her travels around the world and her daughter Phoebe. Dina also takes poplular songs throughout music history and writes her own lyrics to them. This particular time Dina did hilarious parodies of "Save The Best For Last" by Vanessa Williams as well as a genius homage to "The Sound of Music."

My favorite part of a Dina Martina show is when she gives out her gifts (of course using a soft "g") and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of a few of them! When Dina asks for volunteers to come up, I highly suggest raising your hand. Dina gives out some of the most fun and quirky gifts, but more than what she gives out, is the way she describes what she is about to give you that makes it so much fun to receive a gift.

Dina knows her audience and knows how to entertain them! I have seen Dina Martina several times since my first introduction to her in 2005 and without missing a beat, Dina is still on top of her game! With just two chances left, be sure to catch Dina Martina on Friday, September 16 at 8:30pm and Saturday, September 17 at 8:30pm at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA (247 Commercial Street)!
