On Tuesday, July 19, 2011, I had the pleasure of seeing "An Evening With Will & Anthony Nunziata" at Feinstein's at the Regency in NYC as well as conducting a post-show interview. Directed by MAC & Bistro Award Winning vocalist as well as fellow "Adaumbelle's Quest" participant Eric Michael Gillett and musically directed by Tedd Firth, the evening featured songs from theater, pop standards, and Italian classics. Will & Anthony delighted the packed house with their sizzling voices and humorous banter! Together, their voices blend perfectly well, while separately, each can hold their own.
Starting the show off with a bang, Will & Anthony opened with one of my favorite theater songs "Raise The Roof" by Andrew Lippa. They then moved into another favorite of mine "Everybody Says Don't" by Stephen Sondheim. Will then took the stage alone and sang a beautiful rendition of Victor Young/Edward Heyman's "When I Fall In Love," which had everyone melting in their seats, while Anthony mesmerized the audience with Cy Coleman/Carolyn Leigh's "Real Live Girl." One of the best parts of the night came when Will sang one of my all time favorite songs "What Can You Lose?" by Stephen Sondheim. The emotional moment of the show came when Will & Anthony sang David Foster/Carol Bayer Sager's "The Prayer" which they dedicated to their grandmother because they found a recording of them singing it after she passed away that she kept under her hospital bed. It was so beautiful! They did a great, great rendition "Being Alive" by Stephen Sondheim as well as "Getting Tall" by Maury Yeston.
Will & Anthony are identical twins with similarities, but they each have their own unique style of performing! Together they sound amazing, while separately they shine just as bright! For an enjoyable evening of music, family, and laughter, I highly suggest checking out Will & Anthony's show "An Evening With Will & Anthony Nunziata" through July 23 at Feinstein's at the Regency in NYC (540 Park Avenue, at 61st Street).
