"The Best of Times Are Now" to go see the Tony Award Winning Revival of "La Cage Aux Folles" starring four-time Tony and Drama Desk Award Winner and the show's book writer himself Harvey Fierstein, two-time Tony Award Nominee Christopher Sieber, and Tony Award Winner/fellow "Adaumbelle's Quest" participant Wilson Jermaine Heredia!
It's not often the book writer of Broadway show also stars in it. So it's a real treat to get to see Harvey Fierstein perform the role he created, which is one reason to go see "La Cage Aux Folles," but the main reason to go see "La Cage Aux Folles" right now is because of this fantastic cast! The chemistry between Harvey Fierstein, who has taken over the role of "Albin" and Christopher Sieber, who has taken over the role of "Georges" is some of the best I have seen. They play off of each so well, you'd think they really were together. Harvey's comedic timing is displayed perfectly while Christopher's vocals fill the theatre with delight along with his comedic moments! Bringing a laugh every time he walks on stage is the one and only Wilson Jermaine Heredia who plays "Jacob!" Wilson knows how to get the laugh and does so brilliantly! A.J. Shively is still perfection as the son "Jean-Michael." From his voice to his acting, he's still delicious in this role! The other enjoyable moments in the show come from the extremely talented "Les Cagelles": Matt Anctil, Logan Keslar, Sean Patrick Doyle, Karl Warden, Terry Lavell, and Yurel Echezarreta. These "girls" know how to move and move they do with some very impressive dancing and acrobatics.
"The Best of Times Are Now" to come on down to the Longacre Theatre in NYC (220 West 48th Street, between Broadway and 8th Ave) to see the Tony Award Winning Revival of "La Cage Aux Folles" with someone you love!
