Me, Andrea Marcovicci, Kevin LorequeAndrea Marcovicci is celebrating 25 years of entertaining audiences with her beautiful vocals at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room in NYC. On November 29, 2011, I had the honor of attending Andrea's show.

With energy, passion, and joy, Andrea Marcovicci dazzled the eager crowd. This was my first introduction to Andrea and I have to say, I am now a fan! With a very friendly personality, Andrea easily won the room over from the moment she took the stage. Andrea's old school cabaret style fits perfectly into today's music scene, which is why after 25 years of performing, Andrea is still at it with an allegiance of fans to cheer her on! The intimacy Andrea created in her show is exactly what I want when I see a live show. I didn't feel as though I was watching a show, I felt as though I was in Andrea's living room and we were all sitting around like good friends do.

Singing a variety of songs from her illustrious career, Andrea also premiered two brand new songs, written just for her: "Back at the Algonquin" and "The Night I Fell in Love with Paris," which happen to have been two of my favorite songs performed. These two songs are surely going to fan favorites! Other songs I enjoyed that Andrea performed were "Sail Away/Let's Get Away From It All," "Sunday In New York," "How are Things in Glocca Morra?/It Never Was You/My Love Is A Wanderer," and "You Belong To Me/The Sweetest of Nights and the Finest of Days."

Andrea's talent and love of singing came through on every song. Her heart was/is in it 100%+++. Her talent was evident from the beginning and it continued to mesmerize and amaze me throughout the whole show! Andrea is at the Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room (59 West 44th Street, between 5th & 6th Ave) through December 30, so I highly suggest indulging yourself in an evening of music, love, and most of all talent! Andrea's show "No Strings" is the perfect way to celebrate NYC this holiday season. For reservations and tickets either call 212-419-9331 or 212-840-6800 and ask for Oak Room Reservations!
