Combine that with playwright Nicky Silver, whose work I adore and presto, I called and Michael Crane answered. Call Answered: I've been a fan of Nick Cearley's for a while now. I got to interview him in 2013 when he starred in Bucks County Playhouse's "Rocky Horror." Now, Nick is going from one cult classic to another as he stars in Portland Center Stage's production of "Little Shop of Horrors" from September 10-October 16. It was so great catching up with Nick! We had a blast talking about "Little Shop of Horrors," life lessons, the formation of "The Skivvies," finding love, & improving his life by one percent better everyday!

Call Answered: As a life long RuPaul fan, I was super excited to get the opportunity to interview another "RuPaul's Drag Race" favorite, Season Six's BenDeLaCreme whose new show, "BenDeLaCreme's Inferno A-Go-Go" will be making it's debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in NYC from July 28-August 19. In this show, BenDeLaCreme seeks to answer that age old question: What the Hell? Turning her gay gaze toward "Dante’s Inferno," this rollicking romp through nine circles of fire & fun is equal parts brimstone & rhinestones.
Call Answered: I'll never forget the day I was driving with one of my best friends and I asked him, "Who are we listening to?" My friend told me, it was his favorite singer/songwriter, Jon McLaughlin. It's such an honor to get to interview Jon. I loved talking to him about his music, his inspirations, fatherhood, touring, and how he hopes to improve his life by one percent better everyday! Jon's latest album, "Like Us," is out now. I'm thrilled Jon's new tour, "Don't Mess with my Tour," will be launching this fall!
Call Answered: As much as I love getting to interview my idols, I equally enjoy interviewing new talent. Michael Raver is a playwright/actor on the rise. His latest play, “Fire on Babylon,” was nominated for The Robert Chesley/Victor Bumbalo Foundation Award for Playwriting, as well as being named a semifinalist for The O'Neill Conference in 2015. Now, “Fire on Babylon” is making its NYC premiere in the Fresh Fruit Festival July 12-17 at The Wild Project!
Call Answered: Everybody knows somebody affected by Cancer. My mom is a Breast Cancer survivor and I'm so grateful she is here today helping people who have been recently diagnosed, much like character actress Mindy Sterling, who's best known for playing "Frau Farbissina" in the "Austin Powers" trilogy. Mindy, who was Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2011 Woman of the Year, is currently in the middle of a 10-week challenge trying to raise as much money as possible for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The campaign challenge runs through June 3. Let's help Mindy win this challenge by donating to her page!
Call Answered: As much as I love theatre, I love television equally as much! "Little House On The Prairie" was one of the biggest TV shows of the 70s/80s and Alison Arngrim, played the "Prairie" bitch, Nellie Oleson. This Mother's Day weekend, Alison makes her annual return to The Laurie Beechman Theatre with her one-woman show "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: Nellie Oleson Live!" on Saturday, May 7 at 7pm and Sunday, May 8 at 1pm!
Call Redialed: I first met Kim David Smith in 2011 when he was premiering his show "Misfit" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. That show made me an instant fan! I'm so thrilled to sit down with Kim David Smith yet again to discuss his brand new cabaret show "Morphium Kabarett," which will have a month long residency at Pangea in NYC from May 2-23! Each week, Kim David Smith will be joined by a special guest!
Call Redialed: I first interviewed Angeline Rose Troy in 2012 around the time her Lifetime movies were premiering. Now we get to catch up, switch gears, and talk about her starring turn in the 2016 Science Fiction One-Act Play Festival which will be taking place from May 5-29 at ACME Theatre Hollywood. Angeline will be starring in Nathan Wellman's "Love Life Alpha," part of ONE-ACTS PROGRAM B on May 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 26, 27, 28!
Call Redialed: I first spoke with Tony nominee Melissa Errico in November 2015 on the heels of her premiering "Sing The Silence" at Joe's Pub. After that interview and show, I was delighted to receive Melissa's call again to discuss her newest show "Funny! I'm a Woman with Children," making its debut at Feinstein's/54 Below this Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 at 7pm!

Call Answered: RuPaul has been a big influence in my life. Like everyone else, I loved "Supermodel," but it was his book "Lettin It All Hang Out" that really made me love RuPaul! When I had the chance to interview Latrice Royale from Season 4 of "RuPaul's Drag Race," I jumped at this opportunity. She's about to release her debut album and one-woman show "Here's To Life," about growing up gay in Compton, events leading up to her "unfortunate incarceration," and her infectious, ever-positive perspective at The Laurie Beechman Theatre March 17-20 (which is SOLD OUT) and May 12-15!
Call Answered: As a former stand-up comedian myself, it's always enjoyable to find out what makes another comedian tick. When I found out that comedian Adam Sank was going to be part of Keith Price's "Lavender Shade" at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, I knew I had to talk to Keith! "Lavender Shade" comes uptown for one night only, Saturday, March 26 at 7pm! Joining Keith in this hilarious show will be NPR's Ophira Eisenberg, comedian Adam Sank, and Blanca Dominguez.
Call Redialed: The last time I got to interview Tony Award winner, two-time Oscar and Golden Globe nominee, and three-time Grammy nominee Lynn Ahrens was in 2012 when she and Stephen Flaherty were being honored by the New York Pops and getting into the ring with "Rocky" on Broadway! Now, Theatreworks USA is presenting a weekend family performance series which includes their musical "Seussical," a revised one hour version which will be presented on Saturday, March 26 at The Kaye Playhouse at 11am!

When Rori told me she was writing "Siren's Den," I said to her, when it's done, we must do an interview. It sounds like a fascinating layered story that we need to talk about. When Marina Tempelsman and Nicco Aeed announced they were doing a six-month residency at The PIT (The People's Improv Theater) creating a different play each month, I knew I had to call them to find out more. Luckily, Marina and Nicco answered my call and filled me in on this great project! With Marina and Nicco's unique brand of humor, "Unpacking: A Ghost Story Told In The Dark," playing at The PIT from Feb. 21-26, takes place in the dark with the audience lighting the stage with flashlights, focuses on fears of the dark, commitment, and ghosts of past relationships!

Scott Turner Schofield is the first openly transgender actor on Daytime Television, appearing in CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful." It’s an honor to interview Scott about paving a new path for transgender actors, starring on "The Bold and the Beautiful," what he looks for in a date, how he improves his life by 1% everyday, & his coming out story.
Call Answered: Most people know Lorna Luft as a singer, actress, author, and of course, the daughter of Judy Garland, but after interviewing her this past weekend, what I found was a courageous woman whose determination, love, humor, and strength got her through the most difficult time of her life. Now, through the American songbook, Lorna is taking this experience and bringing it to Feinstein's/54 Below in her new show "Triumph" which will play January 6th at 7pm and January 8th at 7pm and 9:30pm!
