If you haven't seen New York Philharmonic's concert version of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's "Company," directed and staged by Lonny Price, and poster design by fellow "Adaumbelle's Quest" participant Billy Mitchell, then you are missing out on an experience! It's only in movie theaters until June 26! Click here for tickets!
Lonny's version of "Company" features Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone, Martha Plimpton, Anika Noni Rose, Craig Bierko, Katie Finneran, Aaron Lazar, Jennifer Laura Thomspon, Jill Paice, Jim Walton, Jon Cryer, Christina Hendricks, and Chryssie Whitehead. "Company" tells the story of five married, once-married, and soon-to-be-married couples and their mutual friend, Robert (Neil Patrick Harris), a bachelor who has been unable to connect in a long-term relationship. The relationships are presented in a series of vignettes, primarily through Robert's eyes." The show's songs include "Company," "Side by Side by Side," "The Ladies Who Lunch," "Another Hundred People" and "Being Alive."
I would like to take a moment to highlight Billy's artwork! Billy's artwork is genius because he is a designer with a unique eye for visuals.
As a tribute to Billy (which was started on Facebook by fellow "Adaumbelle's Quest" participant "Naked Eddie,")I am asking everyone who goes to see "Company" or has gone to see "Company" to please take a picture next to the "Company" poster and what state you saw it in. Then send it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org to post in this entry! I'll get things started...
