Natalie Douglas' Freedom Songs: Election Edition: Inspiring and Delightful

This was my first time seeing a Natalie Douglas concert and I know it won't be my last. Her voice is fierce, powerful, soulful, and one like I have never heard before. Natalie knows how to use her gift.

From the opening number "Freedom Day" to the closing "This Little Light/Now!," I was captivated. Natalie's show covered a wide range of songs from Joni Mitchell to Paul McCartney to Paul Simon to Bobby Darin to Jule Styne, Adolph Greene, and Betty Comden. My favorite numbers were "Freedom Day," "Blackbird," "Mississippi Goddam," "No Restricted Sings In Heaven," "Woodstock," "(Look for the) Union Label/If I Had A Hammer," "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me 'Round," "American Tune," and "This Little Light/Now!" No matter what song Natalie sang, she sounded perfect. She belted the roof of the building with the bigger moments and entranced me even more during the softer songs.

Natalie knows how to bring the audience in and hold tight of them all the way through until the end.

Natalie Douglas' Freedom Songs: Election Edition was a night I'll always remember! The next time Natalie Douglas performs, I can't recommend enough that you go see her. Check out the two videos below ("Woodstock" and "Look for the Union Label/If I Had A Hammer") to see what I mean. Natalie Douglas is the real deal and will leave you wanting so much more!
